Knoxville, TN meet Power Cross

Check out all of our fans!!!

We had a big weekend last week.  For the past few months we have been planning the first benefit dinner or major fundraiser of any kind for Power Cross.  We had been praying that God would send the right people that he wanted at the dinner.  We took 25 of the boys to Knoxville, TN for the dinner and the Varsity baseball team played in a tournament at the Halls Community Park.  This happens to be the very park that Coach Jeff played baseball at when he was growing up.  The dinner Friday was a great event for our friends, family, and supporters to hear more about Power Cross and to meet a few of the boys.  Myself, Jeff, Ausar, and Rayshawn all spoke at the event.  The boys did great!  They had a little practice speaking at a Rotary Club last week as well.  All of the baseball boys were the waiters at the dinner on Friday, the boys also helped to set up the room and get everything decorated.  We really appreciate all the local support we received while we were in TN.  We had six houses that we split the boys between.  The younger guys and Rayshawn stayed out at the lake with some friends of ours.  We had 11 boys  there swimming, running, jet skiing, the whole nine yards for three days straight.  Rayshawn ended up with 13 stitches in his foot after a dock jump gone wrong.  Other than that the boys all returned safe and sound, and very tired!  The baseball boys went 4-0 winning the tournament!  We actually had packed stands for the first time ever! We usually average about 10 fans at our tournaments.  The boys definitely put on a show for the crowds playing some of the best baseball they’ve played all season.  The trip was a blessing from start to finish!  Here are a few pictures of the weekend.
